| Long time's gone by since i last 'blogged'....thats ok though. it is a serious waste of time but i have nothing better to do this chilly afternoon...im in drayton, its Good Friday '06, just got back from lunch, and matt's doing his business.... haha. anyways, things are well. Just a quick update. 1. not engaged yet. 2. theresa's engaged and getting married June 24th, 2006 and im her Maid of Honor 3. Matt's sister Trish is engaged and getting married May 20th, 2006 and im in that wedding as well... 4. Im drop dead broke. 5. Im done my second year of University! 6. mom and dad got a new Toyota Camry 7. I just repainted, redecorated and re-arranged my room at home! it looks nice! Matt says the color is cabbage patch green... i say its a frosty lemonade green and i like it! 8. I got a job as a waitress/banquet server/ beer cart girl at Galt Country Club this summer so im excited about that. 9. Matt is following his dream as firefighter and going to Vermillion, Alberta this summer for 3 months of training. It's so good for him, but its going to be a long summer with out him here.... 10. My brother Ben is graduating from Woodland this year and he's planning on coming to Redeemer next year - its good for him and I'm happy! 11. My hair is getting longer....finally.... 12. My Aunt Melissa had a new baby girl. Her name is Brooke...she is SO adorable...yes, she's Paige's sister. Its fun b/c when i was Paige's age ( 2.5 years), we look EXACTLY alike.... it mean's she's gonna be a good lookin' chicky when she grows up! 13. Dad's business is going really well, and he also got his cheques from the states so that is really good - God really provides when you're in a pickle! 14. im no closer to getting a camera than i was about 8 months ago....so basically i haven't started.....hmmm..... 15. i only have a few exams

| Howdie! Things are going SUPER well! (well, socially!... academically im frustrated but doing my best to stay positive and patient...more to follow!) anyways, its great to see everyone and to hear about ppls summers...first thing is first. im staying at redeemer for 4 years. i know, it hurts. but maybe ill live at home next year and commute ( pending on gas prices)
The dorm is fantastic! I am having a great time and my girls are SOOOO much fun!Im loving it now... Theresa and I are doing wonderful as room mates.
So many decisions and things that i need to tell you about.
First, books has been a disaster! the used book sale was this morning and we had to drop our books off between 4pm and 7pm...that was all good and i was able to do that. I was going to sell about $145 worth of books at the sale....and i dropped them off and it was all fine and dandy...but the 2 most expensive books aren't for this semester! GRRR so they dont need them, but i can sell them next semester. anyways, as tradition goes, the earlier you are in the line up the better you can buy used books for cheaper prices.... so i was up this morning for the SALE at 6am...and i had to go to the bank for cash...and tim hortons...and i waited in line untill 9am and i got to go thru the book sale... and they didnt have ONE book i could buy! GRRR
I had bought my spanish book before hand....the package in the store was worth $160 and i got it for $90 and im going to burn the CD's. I had to buy mostly new books because they are all new edition books and the prof's are not accepting the older editions even though mostly jsut pictures and pages are altered a bit...makes us all mad...but thats ok. so i had to pay $85.00 and $3.50, for my business books... I got my Statistic books for free from matt. The homework for statistics is done and submitted online but i needed CD's for the program so that was $38.00 b/c the program is a one use thing i think so everyone needs a new copy and i have no choice to take stats...its a must... I had to pay for my labratory work book for biology which was $17.00 and the text books is a KILLER...so im going to see about that...but its $140.00 b/c its new, but that means i can sell it for sure next year. I also need to buy a book for Care and Prevention of Injuries ( taught by mike Baker!) I have to pay for St. John's first Aid certificate too some time and take it during the semester, its not that hard and its really good to have.
This is where it gets interesting. Follow Closely. Originally I was all signed up for Cell Biology, Reseach Statistics, Intro to Business, Spanish, and Biomechanics. Stats and Biology both have labs that take up more time frames.
I emailed the registrar ( meets with students to register us into programs and courses) and told him about my thoughts to transfer to Mac. He said that I should do that ASAP or stay at redeemer for the sake of hassle, graduating with the same thing, as well as a Bachelor of Arts on top of my Honours Kinesiology and Biology. The only thing that Al BROWN ( my faculty advisor and favourite professor who teaches a lot of Kin courses and went to MAC) said was that it would be a broader ( more choices) program that is more focused ( on one aspect of physiotherapy) but it doesnt matter either way to get into Grad school because only an elete few get in anyways but usually if you are persistent or have experience you are in better luck.
Next, for next semester, I was not enrolled in ANY courses that are contributing to my major and minor which is a big problem. This is what goes back to the PED 222 stuff from last year etc. that I was talking to Dad about....thats all worked out but they are in the middle of changing the kinesiology/ Phys. ED program ( for teaching etc) and I got stuck in some corners b/c of my age, year of school etc. I went to the registrar for a meeting. He said that I need to take a course for my major next semester, so he put me into Coaching - an elective. It is a 3rd year course with a major waiting list which he bypassed for me b/c he says he is happy with how patient i am being and because of extreme circumstances and b/c he can do that b/c he is the 'Registrar'. I dropped out of reformational Theology and am taking that next year. he says good decision.
Going back to this semester, i was originally supposed to take biomechanics. Matt and I had that one together, so we went to class today.. and the teacher asks who of us has ANY physics back ground from grade 10 to OAC or University intro level physics. Half the class raises their hands. She looks at us that dont raise our hands and said " Im afraid i can't teach this course to you because it will be like teaching grade 10 physics to those who are beyond that and there is a prerequisite of Physics 115 ( @ redeemer) to take this course ( but really there IS NOT) she says " YOU WILL DIE in this course, and not in the most professional professorly way...rather bluntly and boldly and rather belittling and rude...so 20 of us left and went to talk to mr. Registrar again. he sent us to talk to professor John Byl who is also chairperson of the Phys ED department, and he said we could take organization of sport at 2pm on tuesdays and thursdays or do biomechanics with a tutor ( i said NO WAY) so im taking physics next year and biomechanics in 4th year.
I went to the org. of sport class b/c i dropped biomechanics this semester.... its USELESS for me. So i went to talk to the Registrar again. (me and richard are good buddies by now!) So, he told me that the last things he had wanted to happen was for me to get stuck in this biomechanics mess and of course, i did. I told him i could just change my major b/c it might be easier for all of us...kidding of course...we laughed....he told me to go talk to John Byl about taking another 300 level course ( 3rd year course - as 2nd years we can't take 3rd year courses until our second semester of our second year) So i went and talk to John Byl again and he said " anything to solve this ridiculous mess and that we accomodate for me and I for redeemer's policy and then things work out...so... I get to take Care and Prevention of Injuries which has been waitlisted for an entire year because John and Richard love me. That is the end of my story. Quite a journey it has been!
I also had a really crappy experience with the financial aid witch at redeemer who ( if i could do anything about it) might not have a job anymore for the crappy unacceptable service and help she gave to a student in neeed...but hey, thats life...i dont want her help anymore. she just had a dill pickle up her butt or someone pissed in her cornflakes but thats ok...
oh! and i sold $172 in books to josh salverda! so that helps....I have also worked out and am planning on possibly getting a job some where that is flexible and part time. Volleyball try outs are on monday night. YES!! im not worried, if i dont make it, ill just play club. less committment too, so its flexible...
gotta get some more books and get some grub..
oh, i need a calling card or cell phone b/c they are not doing primus this year....grrr...i could possibly do primus myself im not sure if that works... but i think its a calling program for entire campus's....and... you can reach me at 1-905-648-2131 x 3303
.... that was an email i wrote to my mom and dad, but i thought it fitting to share with everyone..I just spent about an hour crying and being frustrated, drained, tired, annoyed, and laughing at all the negative irony of today....wow. tis been a crazy day. you know? like when you just want to cry because it feels good and it gets a load off your chest.... can't wait to go to sleep tonight and wake up to conquer a new day tomorrow.
Bless you all
thx for listening.

| hey whats up
wow , really long time since i posted last but thats ok, i've been busy.... i went to camp and was a counselor - amazing experience and if you get the opportunity GO FOR IT! i can't stress that enought, its so powerful! I also am going to sauble beach for hte next few days...can't wait! so excited!..
so, about my life the past few days....it's been so so...smashed my knee and finger....scraped my arm, had a big water fight....been home alone for the last 5 days...no ketchup in the house....made a big BBQ supper for my amazing boyfriend...and did some back to school shopping. oh and i caved and bought gas at $104.9/ L....its nuts.... i think it should be illegal considering half the gas signs dont even have enough room for that many numbers! duh...
i have had a few nick names come my way the last few weeks at my beloved work place : the STONE....
Heavy J - well, this is the beginning of my being at Navastone....my initiation nick name
Overkill - errr... i do things over the top and i guess i spazz a little at some things..it also has to do with when i get frustrated...ERRRR!!!...hmm... i also have a T- shirt that is a volleyball "overkill" shirt and one time at work i showed Rob how high i could jump...and according to him it wasn't very high, but ususally if you wear an overkill shirt, you have to be good at vball which means you technically have to jump higher than i did...in my work boots...grrrr
London - i said something really dumb at work when Rob and Rob and I were having a water fight...i compared them to being the terrorists and me being London and everytime they water 'bombed' me, i was gonna get them back big time...and they were cowards too( terrorists) and that there was two of them big guys and one little me and they just kept coming back..... it all made sense to me...but it was a very poooooor analogy.... hmm
Captain 'U' ....for 'useless' - according to Rob and Rob, im useless and im the captain of team useless because i guess im the most useless at Navastone and i've been on the useless team with other useless ppls...including all the nut jobs that navastone hires.....but really they just bug me b/c they know im not useless and i do more work than a lot of ppl there....
anyways, the last 4 days have centered around the topic of how and when and in what scenario and situation we would quit at the STONE....pretty funny stuff.... today, Rob N quit... Rob L is leaving sometime early next week depending on what it is they have him doing....and he's planning on leaving in style...and im leaving when they leave because then i'll be depressed cuz they are the only ppl that keep me sane while using a nail gun....
anyways, i gotta go
love and peace

I went to Turkey Point for some camping and swimming and all we got was rain. Frankly i was a little disappointed. Next, Matt is back from tour since sunday... he only was gone for a week but those weeks seem like eternity when the phone calls are about 3mins long max. Don't get me wrong, im not helpless and obsessed, i just like to hear his beautiful voice. BUT i heard they caused some trouble and had some fun so it was successful..
This weekend - who really knows whats happening. My little brother is going on a serve project in Michigan - He's pretty pumped. Next weekend I'm going camping with the "group of seven" - 7 couples and their families that i've grown up with go every long weekend since i've been born and i haven't missed one... 18 years! TRADITION= YES!!
I hope to go see my little cousin paige soon...she's getting so big and so so so cute! I love her so much.. Aunt Mel is pregnant again too so there will be another little one on the way! Here's my little fishy:
